Before and alongside my work in education, I have spent close to twenty years as a professional actor and screenwriter. I have been a member of ACTRA, the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists, since 2004.

This creative background shapes how I teach. My experience on set and on the page feeds directly into my Dramatic Arts classroom, from how I coach students through scene work to how I help them understand character and the discipline of revision.
